Port Development

ESA2 has worked with Port of Hastings Corporation in the role as Approvals Manager for a Port development Project. This role has included the following responsibilities:

  • Providing strategic advice on Planning and Environmental approvals

  • Overseeing the EES and EPBC Referrals

  • Reporting to the Port of Hastings Board

  • Briefing government and stakeholders on the environmental approval’s strategy and status

  • Assembling the consultant team to undertake the environmental assessments and working with the consultant’s team to scope the project.

  • Leading the Port of Hastings Corporation project environment team

  • Technical review of environmental and planning deliverables

  • Obtaining advice from legal advisors

  • Developing a relationship with the Registered Aboriginal Party

  • Working with the Victorian Impact Assessment Unit to commence the Impact Assessment process under the Environment Effects Act.

  • Engagement with community and key stakeholders

Other Projects

ESA2 has also prepared and successfully obtained environmental and planning approvals in Victoria and Tasmania for the following infrastructure projects:

  • Telecommunications projects

  • Industrial facilities

  • Road and rail projects

  • Gas plants and pipelines

  • Asphalt plants

  • Dam storage facilities

  • Waste processing and storage facilities

  • Marina and Port developments

ESA2 has also prepared and implemented Environmental management plans for various projects.
